Who We Are
Mission: To create stronger fathers, brothers, and sons by breaking the stigma around men’s emotional vulnerability.
Method: Through social media, podcasting, and events, we share our stories so we can learn and heal together.
Measure: Changing one man’s perspective is enough. Losing one more man because he was afraid to speak up is too many.
A STATEMENT FROM OUR FOUNDER
We've all heard the same tired, toxic male clichés:
Real men don't cry. Act like a man. Man up.
Well, depression, anxiety, and guilt... they don't care about your gender. They're universal experiences. They're human.
As a recovering addict and suicide survivor, I never thought I'd live to be a Dad. But now I'm the proud father of two amazing little boys. Ensuring my sons impact and interact with the world around them in a positive way is my mission... my legacy. Always the writer, I created a mantra to help guide me:
Presence, Patience, Progress.
These became the core values of FOREFATHERHOOD.
We’re facing a mental health crisis. Our sons, brothers, fathers, and uncles need help they aren’t seeking. We aim to give men the encouragement to speak up before the unspeakable happens, because the current definition of manliness isn’t just outdated, it’s dangerous.
My challenge to you is if you won’t open up for yourself, then open up for your kids. Because if we can’t talk about our problems, how are we going to teach them to talk about theirs?
In September, 2025 we launched “Apparel with Purpose for Present Fathers”. A clothing line to represent your pride in your favorite team: your family… and to show off your commitment to personal growth and emotional wellness.
We’ll be curating content across socials to drive the conversation and build community, and launching a podcast about the challenges of being a present parent and how to show up better for ourselves and our loved ones.
My challenge to you is if you won’t open up for yourself, then open up for your kids. Because if we can’t talk about our problems, how are we going to teach them to talk about theirs?
We’ve inherited vicious cycles from our Forefathers...
But we decide which cycles to keep, and which to break.
If this resonates with you please join the movement by follow us on social, sharing our message, and shopping the clothing line to wear your journey and commitment proudly.
Welcome to the FOREFATHERHOOD.
Sincerely,
Chris Claessen
